Pretty cool man. It is pricy though at $69- plus tea candles.  [URL=http://www.smileyvault.co

Bit pricey, but sure the price will go down over time. The next size up, tPOD5, is a bit more heavy duty. Apparently you need a forth-coming battery pack to charge cell phones with the smaller tPOD1. Still, the technology is amazing.

Yeah the Biolite is pretty cool too, and probably better suited for outdoor applications, or if you don't have a tea light handy.

What I really like about the tPOD1 is exactly that Crudos, you can use it indoors!

Good catch buddy!

I've been looking at this product and it sticks in my craw that he thinks he can build them and make money on it for $70...

Look at that red anodized heat sink that bad boy isn't cheap to make.

What I am thinking... This tech is within reach of a DIYer with a serious level of self loathing... WildTurkey, google thermocouple, thermopile and make it so!

No but really I make very simple temp sensors at work using type J wire and a specialized arc welder. Couldn't be to hard to figure out a home brew.
