Post by: swampfox on November 15, 2014, 04:19:17 PM

Oh yeah I like that A LOT.
I've got a old goodwill Eastpack as my EDC gun bag, (the height allows for the barrel on my 10/22)
But unfortunately the straps are starting to give, and a single sling like that looks ideal.
Thanks for the idea swampfox.

no problem. yeah I am looking for something that is low profile with no tacticool factor to it on the outside such as MOLLY webbing or hook and loop panels. basically something that looks as "non-threatening" as possible and is not cumbersome such as a backpack. I like the Idea of having something but i don't want to go with the Jack Bauer man purse. But I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions of somthing better that I have not found yet.

haha yes Nemo Three pints of type sensitive blood is extremely mission critical. I will have to add that along with other items on that list to deal with my day to day routine of venturing into town or god forbid the Walmart. how else would I succeeded in my mission to get slave labor made Chinese goods at competitive prices.  :sarcasm:

Go with pink unicorns.  But when you find the box of approximately 17,000 rounds of 9mm ammo that both fits and you can easily carry in the sack let me know where.  Or just go with the rainbow.  Whichever you prefer.

Don't know the size of the Thule or how much gear you'll load, but my get home bag is big enough to carry a back panel insert of kevlar. That's how I determined the size I needed, roughly 15x11, old canvas type bag, about $25.

Use it like Crockett vs Nuget at 1:26....lol.

And by even knowing the title Jmac... never mind ???

Anyway, way back then, Crockett was cool before Bauer was a gleam in his daddy's third eye...

I use this SOG thing I got at Wally World for like 20 bucks.

It's not really low key, but it fits well when in motorcycle gear.
Fits a full size & a couple extra mags. If I pack it right I can even fit a sixer of yuengling or a whole 750 of wild Irish.

i have been using a bike messenger bag.  blends in nicely around here.  its easy to carry and holds a lot.  The one I prefer is water resistant, nylon with a waterproof lining.

this is my current one.

I use a Kelty Sling Bag for my low profile edc. It works well and doesn't get weighed down with bottles of beer ;)
