Mini Maglite Tail Switches?
« on: March 11, 2012, 05:02:07 AM »
So I bought a new LED Mini Maglite (which are badass compared to the old minis) to replace the LD20 I lost in a swamp...long story [img]http://www.arrse.co.uk/at And I hate turning the head, http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dtools&field-keywords=mini+maglite+tail+switch&x=0&y=0 any of you guys use these? I know in one of the reviews it says it's for the non LED ones so the spring is to short, but I figure I could just stretch it out. what do you guys think?

Did you end up buying it?
I also thought about buying one to save some money.

Maybe Mini-Maglights have gotten better in the decade I've been out of the market.

Ten years ago they couldn't survive in my pocket so make sure to let us know how that works out for you.

I guess those were the bulb version? I have 2 led ones now and they've been ok but i haven't had a chance to use them heavily.

They were infact the version with the bulb.

It wasn't just the bulb though. Every bit except the barrel of the light was so small and delicate that it just couldn't stand to the repeated banging of my life. Not a fault of the light so much as a fault of my life.  [img]http://www.arrse.co.uk/at

Whats the run time and lumens on these mini mags? I know the bulb style was a joke.

77 lumens and 10 hours 45 minutes on high, and 31 hours 30 minutes on 25% power according to the package.

I forgot to post this in here. Don't buy this switch if you have a led model. it will cause it to cycle though the modes.
