I've had one for over 20 years. In fact, I carried one on some airlines flights back in the 1980-1990's. I wouldn't try that today, because the TSA imaging equipment is much more sophisticated today. It will pass through metal detectors without a problem, but it won't pass imaging equipment with a skilled operator. It has limited usability. It can be used to stab, but the cutting ability is limited. Now a days I simply carry a tactical pen, which is allowed by the TSA.
