Ok guys I'm in the process of picking up 2-3 AK's and I'm not to savey on what stocks work and what suck. I'm planning on having one for every member in.my team. I don't care if they are basic or some m4 wanna be I just want something that is going to work .
Also I'm still looking for 2 more ak' s I'm hoping to get them for 400 or under so if anyone knows of any deals going on I would be In your debt.

Seriously. I don't trust the Tapco stocks for the AR due to the buffer tube and all that.
But the Tapco shit on the AK is quite bad ass.
My old ak :( ( sold her today ) kept up to all my training, beatings, droppings, throwing, kicking.
Its good stuff man & its cheap.
-
the tapco collapsable stock for the ak is not good for the ak cause of the recoil, if you look closely while firing it flexes.

lol, I hate to spash you bro. But I replaced my standard wood one at about 3K rounds.
And my old ( still :( over its sale ) ran to about 10k and is perfectly capable of running for another 10.
This is not bragging or sticking up for equipment I have because I don't any more. This is experience talking.
Do you have an AK with a tapco stock that flexed? have you put ruffly 7 THOUSAND BULLETS down range with said stock?
Some times a mans word from experience is better taken, than a mans word from another mans word of another mans word.
Get what I'm saying young padawan?

lol
the Tapco dispute arises on the straightprep forum.
I just don't like tapco because it's ugly and it feels flimsy.
-
Those Ace stocks sure do look well made.

What's wrong with the standard wood set-up? If need be, run a NATO-length composite stock. I think the durability and success of the AK platform as it was designed pretty much exceeds anything we'll ever use it for.

I couldn't use it man. Way to short. I prefer my length of pull out there at 13+

Wood works great, if you're short or like the collapsible, I like the Tapco stock. I'm with Reaver on them. Ive run mine HARD, had an issue with the first one but truly it was my bad, did'nt install it correctly which caused the tube to come loose tho it never came off lol. Sent them an email about it and they sent me a new tube, hardware and the drill bit for the install. Don't know if I would rifle butt anyone with it but its solid for shooting!

There's nothing wrong with the regular stock. I actually have a tapco stock on my backup AK, a regular one, not a M4 style, and I'm going to either replace it with the original wood, or just break down and buy a full bulgarian polymer set, cause the tapco has a weird cheek weld for me..
I don't think it's too long either, unless you are very tall, I'm 5'9", and it fits me fine with or without body armor. Only thing I wish was different was the buttpad, I would prefer some rubber like on a vltor or sopmod M4 stock, and have the butt be flat, not curved.
Unbroken, the best way to determine what's best for your team is to actually go out and train with the rifles, you'll learn what works and what doesn't.

Do you have the T6 recoil pad?
I have an extra one. Shoot me your address via PM and next time I get to the Post office ( After taxes ) I will mail it to ya.
The rubber on the recoil pad actually works as a pretty good grip tight to the shoulder. And actually does reduce a little recoil. :D

I've been rocking one of these for over a year now and really like it. Solid as fuck.

Thanks a lot! But I don't need it. It won't fit on my stock, and it would interfere with the little hole thing that holds the cleaning kit.
Very nice of you to offer though! [URL=http://www.smileyvault.co
