This past Memorial Day weekend my brother and great friend, and I put up the remaining tongue & groove (T&G) ceiling that needed to be done in our great room.
First we put up 2x12x12's for the temporary floor joists to work on while we put up the T&G. That took about three hours.
The next day we laid plywood on the temporary joists and screwed them down. Then we started putting up the T&G.
My brother did the cutting of the previously varnished boards while our good friend and I nailed the boards up. All in all it took 15 hours from the time the first temporary floor joist went up till we were 98% done. I will do the finish work over the next several days and then with the help of a neighbor, take down the plywood and temporary joists.
I will post the final pics when done however here are few during the process.

Thx all.
I trimmed-in/finished the opening for the chimney and skylight window. Off to RI tomorrow, hopefully for the last time mind you - To finish up some final things now that our house has sold there.
Hope to be home late Friday. Trying to put in the rest of our garden Saturday and Sunday if the rain holds off.
