Title: Time to set up your seedling trays
Post by: JohnyMac on January 12, 2012, 04:49:01 PM
Well February 1st is right behind the corner and this is when I start my seedling's.

Typically you can buy plant trays, peat moss cups and even planting soil from the clearance shelves at your local Agway/ discount store.

I buy almost all of my seeds from:  http://www.heirloomseeds.com/ (http://www.heirloomseeds.com/)

I was late ordering seeds last year and in some cases, I was not able to get heirloom seeds for the varities I wanted.

Plan now and then act. The plants you plant this spring might be your only meal (s) in winter '12 or '13.   [URL=http://www.smileyvault.co

WhiskeyJack  :))

I start looking for cheap discontinued supplies now and order needed seeds. Last year I didn't try to order seeds until February and they were out of some of the ones I wanted.

Week one or two of February I will start planting my seeds.

I'll be starting soon as well, gonna wait a little while longer though. I got this seed kit as a Christmas gift" the $44.00 kit" from
http://www.homelandpreparedness.com/cgi-bin/shop/google_loadpagez.cgi?user_id=id&file=seeds/garden_seeds.htm (http://www.homelandpreparedness.com/cgi-bin/shop/google_loadpagez.cgi?user_id=id&file=seeds/garden_seeds.htm)

Pretty cool kit with a cool info booklet included. I'll get some pics going when things get under way. I have some pepper plant  seeds I have already sprouted , set them up in my kitchen window, they have plenty of light and they are doing good. Cant wait to get the rest going.

Sure will JM , I'm going to invest in a pressure cooker as well this year. While back in Ohio for Christmas I questioned my Mom,Aunt, and Grandmother about canning. Got some good pointers. thinking about trying some of these reusable canning lids, any thoughts? http://www.mypatriotsupply.com/Articles.asp?ID=252&gclid=CIfJlM2x0K0CFYvRKgodkC3xmA (http://www.mypatriotsupply.com/Articles.asp?ID=252&gclid=CIfJlM2x0K0CFYvRKgodkC3xmA)

I've been thinking about my garden this year...

I got seeds coming, green house plans all over the kitchen table and floating seed trays floating around in my dreams.

It is about time for spring already.

TG, I went to a local "job Lot" type of store and was able to buy left over peat moss seedling cups, plastic trays and potting soil at half price. In another couple of weeks 2012 prices will kick in. Buy now save later.  [URL=http://www.smileyvault.co
