My preference for fast jerky
« on: November 09, 2011, 04:31:14 PM »
Shown is just some beef cube steak torn up, works good with venison too. The cubing seems to make it easy to break it up and speeds up drying time. I usually stick with just salt and a bit of pepper for seasoning. As always with jerky keep it lean.

I seem to have a difficult time storing this stuff though.

For some reason I don't think its your storing methods that are the issue...

I've actually thought about doing jerky if I ever get around to hunting deer in my area. Care to post a "how-to" vid on homemade preparation, from skinning/gutting a deer to finalizing jerky/other portions of the meat?

I have to get around to learning to post videos but there should be a pile of them on youtube. I also recomend having a good selection of hard copy (books) for prepping, you should be able to find a copy of this easily http://www.amazon.com/Care-Game-Trophies-Charles-Elliot/dp/030810207X

Don't know how I missed this, if it was a snake...
