Make your own PVC fittings.. say what?
« on: March 08, 2013, 07:06:08 PM »
Hey Gang,

I've been fucking with plastics and pipe for a long time now and I am still impressed by what you can and can't do. A quick hint, you can do whatever you like!

I know this kid is kinda.. yeah but he shows you how to take apart an old connection and how to make a new coupler.

Don't think about this like "dude the hardware store is right down the road!" Think about this like "no worries, we can salvage some fittings and get the water system back up and running come hell or high water."

Great video TG. Thanks for posting it!

Apparently you can find any DIY subject/video on YT. I wonder if they have a YT video on "brain surgery."

You can also make couplers just by mismatching different schedule pipes and sizes. For example potentially a 3/4'' schedule 40 pipe with a peice of 1'' schedule 20 for a coupler. Im not saying that exact example works but you get the idea. You just have to play with it if you have them on hand.
