So I literally learned how to sew about 3 hours ago. I'm 19 years old and never in my life did I take an interest in the Fabrical Arts...until I went on diytactical.com and saw all the amazing things MEN could make with cloth and string.
As of right now, my main (and only) chest rig is a Chinese SKS 10 pocket chest rig. With this rig, I can fit AR magazines in it but it's such a tight fit that in a combat situation, it would be wise to not try and fiddle with trying to get the mags back in the rig. That's where a dump pouch comes in! So I ran to Wal Mart at 11:30 at night to buy some fabric and left with some Rattlesnake patterned fabric.
This is what I made, remember I learned to sew 3 hours ago, so bare with me:

First I made my main piece. It's roughly 14"x28":

Next, I took two 2x5" pieces and sewed them in half to make 1" belt loops:

Then sewed the top seam with a large enough section in the middle for a drawstring. Again, a little crooked, but it works:

Then sewed the belt loops on. They're about 1 1/2" from the top, 3 1/2" from the sides, and 2" from eachother:

Then I sewed the actual bag's sides and bottom:

I flipped her inside-out, and put a shoelace for now! And we're in business!:

With a PMAG in the bag:

As you can see, there's lots of room, but that's because I it doubles as a Gas Mask bag if I needed!

P.S.
Sorry for a couple of the blurry pics, they looked fine on my phone and on my computer before I posted them.

No worries buddy, keep that machine running!
Check out LightFighter.net they got some gear makers over there that are rolling out topshelf gear... and they show you how!
-
That's awsome. I'll have to make me one after a while to go with my new plate carrier. You'll have to talk me through it though.

I like the individuality the best. Rattlesnake dump pouch is pretty B/A

I'm with Reaver, the Rattle Snake is pretty badass. Very nice job. I really need to check out LightFighter as well, because everyone is always talking about how great of a site it is.

Just don't say anything on Lightfighter.. those motherfuckers keep that ban hammers swingin!

I've heard that as well.

Thanks guys!
And I wouldn't mind helping at all, Grudgie. The only things different I would have done is sewed the belt loops inside out so the sew would be on the inside, and put more stitches where the belt loops and the pouch meet. I can still do that, and I probably will, as well as put a push button draw string thingy.
It's simple and I'm still a noob to this kind of stuff, but I can help any way I can if you guys need help!

push button draw string thingy.
Those push button draw string things are called Cord Locks (https://www.google.com/search?q=cord+locks&sourceid=ie7&rls=com.microsoft:en-us:IE-Address&ie=&oe=#q=cord+lock&hl=en&safe=off&rls=com.microsoft:en-us:IE-Address&prmd=imvns&source=lnms&sa=X&psj=1&ei=sPhPUMapLMOFiAKXtoHYDg&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAA&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.&fp=eaf8b0e3d51d4b43&biw=1080&bih=519).
I found these at Supply Captain (http://www.supplycaptain.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&product_ID=739).
