Title: Adobe bricks
Post by: Reaver on February 23, 2013, 06:28:31 PM
Was watching " butch Cassidy and the sun dance kid " on history channel something and they reported that the rifles used. ( Mauser design ) bullets did not pass through the bricks. This gave me the idea o. How to construct them for this in a suitable region.

This should be good knowledge for this that do not have a home at their Bug location but realize that they may actually have to survive and thrive out there depending on the political outgoings.

Me, I have mud and soot but no good solid clay, my outcome after a few months of living in my few tents will end up looking something like this.
Eventually I hope to build a nice solid home, but I'm not being unrealistic of what my initial home will look like. Luckily I'm pretty good with my hands.....not a bonified carpenter but I can figure my way around some simple tools, and pine trees are very plentiful around my BOL

If logs is where you're at you should check out Alone in the Wilderness by Dick Proenneke.

Alone In The Wilderness 1 (2004) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQz16R5qcxs#)

Hell even if you have no desire to ever build so much as a dog house you should watch that film!

It's hot as balls all year round in Florida, you need to check out passive cooling.

They are a wonderful resource if you plan to build on the cheap.
