I don't know why but I'm enjoying the hell out of this video and conversation.  Damn it feels good to smile for a change.   :)

Watch out Reaver!  One of these guys is going to put up a pic of an AR target at 600 yards and say, "Do that with your AK bitches!"

 :)

After travelling 600 yards I doubt that little 5.56 is gonna have much on it...

You know as well as I do, that effective area target range for a 5.56x45 is 800 meters.
Why would the army teach me that if it wasn't true?  [url=http://www.freesmileys.or

Not all 5.56 is built the same. Or, well, tell that to the dude who took one to the grape (via a USMC Scout Sniper) at 900m with Mk262 Mod 0 in Afghanistan several years ago. Yes indeed, not the norm but the same result nonetheless.

I laughed a good while watching that.  :))  Man, those are some tricky moves.  How are you supposed to hit them if they keep moving around like that?  I think I just figured out where King Shabbaz  took his training class.  I wonder what they charge for the course?

Judging from the dirt flying up ~20m downrange several times, I'm guessing they don't. My favorite part is 1:22 where the guy on the left runs dry when in prone. He then proceeds to take a knee, perform a 10 second reload, just to go back down into prone again...

That 10 second reload highlights one of the reasons that I didn't pick the AK, while the magazine locks more positivly into the rifle if you miss that front lug it instantly turns into a cluster f*ck.

You can always count on Spetnaz to do really practical stuff like push ups off their rifles or jumping backwards flips while throwing their entrenching tools at wooden targets.

It's always good to see a group cut out all the unimportant and extraneous stuff, like hitting targets.

No it dosnt. The ar is a faster system for reload but when you add in magazine retention both platforms are not far off each other. the ar will always be faster with the mag well but when i practice reloads i practice magazine retention( going to my dump pouch with the empty and up to my mag pouches for a full. Its gonna take time no matter what. and if you start dropping mags on the ground your reload time is going to get real bad when you aint got any left. My advise reloar from cover or on the move. And if you fire aimed shots youll reload less. But thats just my .02 cents But this has been a pretty funny ass thread.

That was classic! Did they actually tun their backs to the target and squat down to reload or was I smoking crack for a minute.

I think that was a timed competition event. Not an actual battle drill but it was freakin funny. I did however like the direction transition on the ground.

I'm curious if that was the explanation given after ridicule or the actual explanation. Methinks youtube flies in the face of decades of Russian propaganda.

They even made Argentina look bigger than Texas.  That's just not right!  Especially when you consider the Republic Of Texas's entire territory.  (http://yoursmiles.org/p-m
