Hell yeah!  I don't think people realize how an important element psy ops can be.

Good topic.  I'm not going to get ultra lengthy here but there's a lot of folks that call themselves "patriots" that have no clue of how powerful Psyops can be.  If you read the lively debate over @ WRSA and MG Mosby put up a good piece about how these "patriots" openly talk about targeting noncombatants using the justification that they are connected to what they perceive as combatants. 

I'll tell you this right up front:  You do something stupid like that and you are a psyop guys wet dream.  A good analyst can take one incident no matter how isolated and exploit the living piss out of it to turn public sentiment against you in a heartbeat.  In Afghanistan there was an incident in a ville that was very US friendly.  Basically a little kid got caught in some cross fire just outside the village and died.  The next day the towelies had leaflets all over that village.  You wanna talk about shit going downhill at mach V after that we had to tread lightly - insurgent recruiting went through the roof in that little collective of mudhuts and goatherders. What really amazes me is that these "patriots" think that Americans are going to react in a lesser manner - even cheer them on.  Nope amigo, quite the contrary.  Hell their own mothers will probably turn them in.         

regardless of what people cite to you that our nation has done (Dresden, Tokyo, etc.) and regardless of what the threat does you have to maintain the moral high ground.  It's what differentiates a patriot from a murderer.  Fail to do that and you'll have lost the psyops campaign - all it takes is one bad apple, once incident.

I have been in business more years then some of you have been on this planet. It always amazes me that in most cases when a worker is fired or laid off the employees who still have a job walk around for a day or two with a skip in their pace and a smile on there face. (How's that for a run on sentence LOL)

I think its human nature for a person to be relieved that someone else got fired or the firing squad. Many times, not always, the employee or family member who survives is the one that was the cause for the other to receive a pink slip or a copper coated bullet.

Better him, than me.  I've heard that exact same thing from dozens of small business owners, and I've seen it myself first hand.  It happens and it does work.  Its basic human psychology I guess.
