I love my pit, she's an awesome first alert/defense asset.
She hunts squirrel's with ease, but once you get the poor critter away from her lets just say they are "played with!"
How do you think your dog will do?
Plus i've never once thought about my dog carrying her own bug out bag! I will now!
-
my yappy crappy dog will be the first to go bye bye.... lol.... >:D
-
I have no idea "how" mine will do in WROL, but I know as far as defense goes... I think I'm alright... :))

My brother spent a couple of years in East Timor working for the U.N setting up police departments and disarming the war lords after they separated from Indonesia. He came back with what he claims are some great dog recipes.
Every time he pets mine I'm like, "Don't you dare lick your lips!"
-
Lmao....but...uhh..you think you could throw a brother a couple of those recipes??
-
oh I'll eat the fuck outta my dogs!! but I'd have to be one hungry sum'bitch. the cat is the first to go, that's for sure. maybe even one of my neighbors useless yappy little lap dogs before the cat...

I didn't get 'em. He lives in Ft Worth now but I'll see if he'll pass them along. Actually, there are enough feral hogs that I don't anticipate having to eat the dogs. I read in one game management report that 6 months after a national catastrophic event that most wildlife and fish would be decimated due to over harvesting. The only exception they mentioned were feral hogs which dominate many areas of the U.S. I know we're loaded with them in Florida.

What can I feed my little yapper now to make sure the meat is tender and juicey? Is it too soon to start marinating her?
-

Mine will be great for defense and alerting me. If stuff gets really bad, they will be in my belly, though. Sad but true.

Our pet is a 225lb Pot Belly Pig.
Faithful, very clean, and you can use his poop for fertilzer.

I love my dog and my two cats so much I almost couldn't click on this thread. All I can say is I will kill and cook all my neighbors to keep the animals fed if need be.

If your neighbors were smart, they would stock up on plenty of dog food!
