And the answer to _why_ so many folks simply cannot deal with "the government is not coming to save you" is neither pretty nor open to an easy, quick fix.
My impulse is to load my truck to capacity (including extra gas cans) and start driving. Impulse control steers me to harder resolve NOT to be lulled by "normalcy bias", nor cave to the sweet lies we are inundated with daily. The lady is correct when she references the need to have a degree of food/water reserves - pain and lessons learned the hard way will make her words understandable and worthy of taking to heart. The black pill, some are choking it down right this minute.
