Title: Hone Your Communication Skills
Post by: JohnyMac on June 05, 2018, 11:55:53 AM
I have been chatting via PM with a senior UP member over this past seven days and remembered his involvement at the Bundy ranch drama as being the RTO & TOC for the operation. One lone man with a Baofeng  :lmfao: and thought..."I need to plug Brushbeater's class again"; Specifically, his RTO (Radio Telephone Operator) course (https://brushbeater.wordpress.com/2018/05/21/open-enrollment-rto-course-information-and-general-updates/).

Keep in mind you do not have to have an amateur radio license or background to take it although I am sure it would help. If you do not have a license and want to take the course I am sure NCScout can recommend some easy reading to at least get familiar with the terms and theory which would help.

Once you have taken the course you will truly realize the value to having cohesive communication methods to respond to your AO's security needs.

If you would like to read my review of the class go here (http://unchainedpreppers.com/forum/weapons/brushbeater-field-radio-class-review/new/#new).
