Title: 3D Printing Gun Parts
Post by: 505th.NM.Militia on September 30, 2011, 04:57:47 AM
This is an article talking about 3D printing of gun parts.  Its not that detailed or elaborate but it raise a few interesting points.  Print you own AR gun.  Print an all plastic gun.   Print molle speed clips, any custom sized clip, anchors, holsters, flashlightholders.  Design and create your own firearm from scratch.  ETC!

There's a guy on another forum who printed his own lower. No, he doesn't shoot it (I doubt it would last very long). He cut out the sides and does trigger work with it. Pretty neat to be able to mod and tune a trigger without removing the parts.

Now, if only they could make a print of Iga Wyrwal (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iga_Wyrwa%C5%82)....  :o

That page was the only one I could find that was completely SFW.

Beat me to it. Though the term I use is consumable.
