Why issue?

I ask because there are a lot of really good pieces out there that are much lighter and compact.

It's a habit on mine, but I'm also on a really tight budget. Some things just can't wait till Christmas  :D

But I do want the pouch, no matter what kind of compass I end up getting.

when it comes to a compass get a cammenga 3H NSN 6605-01-196-6971, make sure its a tritium lensatic compass, should be between 60-90 bones. one thing the army didnt go cheap on, these things kick ass.

I know, I know.  But I already did the leg work and customer service rep. Curnisha just said that they are in stock so you shouldn't have any trouble getting one asap.  And if you do, you know who to rip!  [URL=http://www.smileyvault.co

ALSO... if you look around on ebay you can find the same thing for even cheaper.  I usually send an email asking them to certify that the thing is still readable, no scratches or cracks and what not on the lenses and so on.  That way if I get it and its FUBAR Ebay will fix it!  Auctions give you the opportunity to get one the cheapest if you can stand the wait but the cheapest I found on there BUY NOW was $35 + $5 shipping.
