The entertainment at the White House Correspondents dinner. Trump decided not to go. Instead he had a rally in Michingan. But it is pretty funny.

Yeah, saw excerpts from this political speech (Not humor) earlier this morning. I am surprised that more people didn't walk out.
I am glad that Mr. Trump did not go.

I wonder if Sarah was watching the news people who were laughing and if they are in the Washington press pool. She could if she wanted to is to make a fool of them during a press conference in front of the whole world.
It was just plane nasty and hate filled, not funny.

I believe in the freedom of speech, but I also believe that people should be polite. As Heinlein noted, "an armed society is a polite society." Society today is not polite, and during the past several decades I've noted a definite decline in the lack of manners, and how people are getting nastier to one another. The "comedienne's" jokes were poorly chosen,and illustrated how rude modern society has become. I understand how roasts work, but this one went beyond the norm. I don't know how Sarah Huckabee Sanders remained in her seat. The liberal press showed their true colors by having this "comedienne" carry on her biting attacks. Jokes are one thing, but personal attacks shouldn't be tolerated. This poorly chosen comedienne should apologize to Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

No, I think it was a poor attempt at humor. This will just amplify the animosity between the Trump administration and the main stream media. Some of the members of the liberal media have also said that the comic's jokes were in poor taste. She just went too far. I wonder how someone like Putin would deal with her.

I few things to remember...
This yearly event is not a roast. It originally started out as a variety show and has changed over time to be nasty. I totally agree that as our collective morals are being driven lower & lower by all of us I agree with what Jackalope wrote, "...during the past several decades I've noted a definite decline in the lack of manners, and how people are getting nastier to one another." Well written sir.
Also to his point, this feeds Mr. Trump deplorables wood stove. If this kind of thing continues there will be a Red wave, not a Blue wave in November.
