A robbery suspect got a whole lot more than he bargained for after reportedly pointing a gun and stealing from a car’s occupants in a Denny’s parking lot south of Los Angeles just before 3 a.m. Wednesday.
Surveillance video obtained by KABC-TV shows four people leaving the restaurant and entering a car, after which the suspect robs them, the station reported. One of the victims is seen running into Denny’s for help.
Police told the station that the robbery suspect had two accomplices waiting around the corner in a getaway car, and sure enough, video shows the robbery suspect running toward the getaway car — that is, until the driver of the car with the robbery victims hits reverse and drags the gunman back.
