I use to "competitive shop" Gander Mountain often - Specifically their marine & fishing departments. While there I always took a skip through their hunting departments too

IMO, Gander Mountain's CEO has never been fishing, hunting or boating. He/she is just a retailer and doesn't care about the products hence the quality of people they hire are low end...If they have a pulse they get hired.

With that said though, Cabela's and Bass Pro store personnel are not much better. It's the old adage of, "you get what you pay for." If you want to buy something a few bucks cheaper hit the old Gander Mountain, Cabela's or Bass Pro. If you want some good advise to go along with your purchase and willing to pay a few bucks more - Go to your local sporting goods Mom & Pop store.

there was a nasty chemical at loose in the WDC school system, at that time they were worried about mercury from broken thermometers. picture people in yellow hazmat suits going through decon after cleaning up the horrible, deadly, neurotoxin... mercury

Ok, Ok, Mercury is a poison, but in its liquid state, it can be dealt with safely, quickly and efficiently without the involvement of multiple people in moon suits.
a couple of like minded people started handing out flyers warning about another serious chemical that wasn't getting enough attention. I thought it was tongue in cheek funny. What gets me is that members of the WDC school board took this seriously - interviewed on TV for posterity. They wanted to look into this nasty chemical and wanted to know why it was allowed within the DC schools. The flyers were all about DHMO or DiHydrogen Monoxide. pretty nasty stuff, it can kill.

Yes, DHMO is dangerous stuff. It takes a careful balance to not kill you. Too much or too little you are dead. Too much in the right place and too little in the wrong is just like too little in the right and too much in the wrong.

And if highly educated people who should realize such things cannot understand that water is necessary and you can die of thirst or water intoxication or even drown is just dumb.

I have some crank stories that I will not go into with such a broad audience.

With that said...Coke is a piss poor high when compared to crank. With the great high (As I have been told) of crank comes the adverse affects - Both internal and external. Once it becomes external your internal "stuff" is shot.
