Title: I'll Show You Mine if You Show Me Yours
Post by: JohnyMac on March 16, 2014, 02:54:55 PM
Now that I have your attention  :D two Mondays ago I planted my first seeds for the 2014 vegetable garden. As I write everything I have planted has come up with the exception of my peppers and melons.  :what:

Anyhow attached is a picture of my seedling trays.

The trays are located on our dining room table (MrsMac gets all pissy over this each year ) in a SW facing window on heating mats.

Once the seedling's break the surface I stop watering from above and just put H20 in the bottom of the tray. I have read that this helps to form roots quicker. Heck if I know if it works but it seems to every year.

Once the seedling's get their second pair of leaves, I will transplant them to individual peat moss cups.

Where are YOU on this years start of your family's garden?

I have spinach, lettuce, kale, broccoli, and onions sprouted.  Tomatoes, peppers, and a multitude of herbs planted but not yet sprouted.  I have to remember to get a picture tomorrow.  I'd meant to today, but forgot.
