General Discussion / Movie Review: Civil War - by Forward Observer
« Last post by Sir John Honeybucket on April 14, 2024, 02:04:56 PM »
The team at Forward Observer reviewed this movie.  This saves me going there myself then getting arrested for throwing trash at the screen...  F.O. already took a hit for the team, by watching it and posting a review so that we don't have to spend money on a Hollywood product.

I agree with Jackalope's assessment 100%. Gold did open at $2,440 though this morning. It is back down, however, you can see what war & rumors of war can do to the PM markets.

Brent Crude is also just hovering around $90 a barrel.

A nothing burger. Which by the way, is totally fine with me. Let's wait and see.

It was choreographed retaliation, just to save face.  Everyone was informed prior to the event, and everyone involved played their parts.  The only problem may be that Israel is wanting to improvise and escalate.  Notice the retaliation was done during the weekend, while the markets are closed.  The Iranian action may be out of the news cycle by Monday morning, so it'll be just a blip for the markets.

However, if Israel decides they want to push the issue, then the dynamics change.  Since Brandon told Bibi the U.S. wouldn't assist if the situation is escalated, I think the Israelis will hold off until there's further justification.  Leave it to Lyin' Biden to screw things up.

iran fired over 300 missiles/rockets and drones into Israel yesterday and thankfully 99% were shot down with defense methods.

These projectiles were sub-iconic and took over 6 hours to reach their destination, at first glance I thought how stupid could they be to use these instead of hypersonic weapons which would only take about 20 minutes. Then I realized they could be trying to get the Israelis to use up their defenses and then use the big guns. Also this is a BIG distraction which could allow other enemies of Israel to move in and get ready for a major attack

I would be surprised if Israel does not go full nuke and wipe iran off the map

Your thoughts??

Grizz: They watch all of us by what we buy with Credit Cards, Debit Cards, and swiping those damned Cell Phones under a scanner. Pay cash for as much as you can and be careful what you post on the internet. Also, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER store anything on the CLOUD. They have access to the Cloud by just asking for the information. Microsoft doesn't even ask them to get a warrant. We can never be entirely the GRAY MAN but we can come as close as possible. They know that I have some Silver because I've mentioned it on this page. But it could be one ounce or a million but they'll never know how much because I bought it with cash and the guy that I bought it from doesn't even know my name. Buy all of your gas from one gas station and they won't know where you've been as long as you stay off the Interstate highways because most Interstates have those 50 foot mounted high definition cameras. I don't do anything wrong but, "My business is My business", not their business. They also look at social media for information on people. Facebook, Instagram, You Tube, Tik Tok, etc. is another thing they look at. Just for laughs, I'll send an email to one of my friends and put some bullshit in the SUBJECT box. They have key words that looks at all emails in the Subject Box and if one of those key words pops up, they read the entire email. I like to put GUNS, BOMBS, and EXPLOSIVES in the Subject Box just to make some government desk jockey have coffee shoot out of his nose when he sees my subject. Then when they read my email they realize they've been messed with and they then know that I know what they're doing. Even though I know how to fly a plane but don't have a pilots license, I never fly commercial anywhere so they can stick their NO FLY LIST right up their butt.

Didn't Hitler do similar in the aftermath of Kristallnacht? Suspended Germans version of Fourth Amendment?

For the folks who do not see what is happening, shame on them.

Which is worse?

1) not seeing it

2) seeing it and not doing anything about it?

"they" have been watching us since bush signed the patriot act in 2001 (or whenever it was), probably even longer. The difference now is they are trying to legitimatize even more and deeper "watching".

They are totally out of control and will continue watching us regardless of any laws because its the only way they can retain control

Let us renew our personal vows to "If I told ya, I'd hafta kill ya".
This is the year that joking around or going along to get along without severe consequences comes to a screeching halt.
We may not like the rules.   But it would be wise to play by them.   And it ain't the Marquis of Queensbury we're talk'n 'bout.
