vARIM
« on: August 06, 2024, 12:08:32 PM »
I have installed  vARIM v1.12 on Linux Mint (21.3).  Vara HF is working (with Winlink Express and VarAC) using wine.  When attempting to connect on vARIM, the status line on Vara HF indicates an attempt to connect, but my Yaesu FT891 never transmits.  My guess is that I have yet to correctly configure PTT.    I use flrig for control on other programs and it works well.  I have tried using each Rig/PTT setting (VOX, DTR, RTS, RIGCTLD) in vARIM but still have the same issue.  Any suggestions or additional information to pursue in trying to figure this out?

Thank you.

I too have installed vARIM in hopes of playing with it this winter as the snow comes down from the heavens horizontally. Haven't played with it yet.

Great! I hope that configuring it and getting it working goes well for you. My husband and I are still tinkering with it, spent a couple of hours on it this morning...so ready for it to work, will keep at it.
