Had a quick email exchange with NCScout this morning and he was wondering if we were going to do a net this coming Saturday night. He is teaching a RTO class in the land of the Yankee - Deep in the land of the Yankeeze I might add.
So I thought it would be fun to try and connect up with him. I will put a SOI together for Saturday night. If you can make it GREAT! If not no worries however I will be there.
Looking at
propagation Saturday night at 2000 hrs (000 hrs. Mar 25 Zulu) 80-meters is still the best frequency.
SOI:The purpose of this net is to enjoy the fellow-ship of like minded hams covering NE, Mid & Southern Atlantic regions and to test our equipment. Below are dates, times and a P.A.C.E.
Time: Saturday March 24, 2018, 2000 Hrs. EDT (0000Hrs. Zulu Sunday March 25, 2018)
Primary: 3.863Mhz
Alternate: 3.863 Mhz + .003 Mhz till we have clear air (3.866, 3.869, 3.871, et cetera
Contingency: 7.263Mhz + .003Mhz till we have clear air (7.266, 7.269, et cetera)
Emergency: 1.960 Mhz + .003Mhz till we have clear air
Call Signs: Use your existing FCC call sign. I will call CQ using Unchained along with my call
sign - KC1***
Comments: This will start out as a directed net then become a round robin net. Some topics other
than the usual, e.g. signal strength, wattage being used, et cetera - Are:
> Digital communications,
> CW, and/or
> Planned home brew antennas in the foreseeable future
I hope that ya'll can attend.
By the way, anybody can start a net and invite the members or friends of the members by announcing it here on UP. Just use the standard SOI format.

PS: If you are planning on attending (Not locked in) please let the group know on this subject thread.
