Mark your calendar for the April Erin/UP net. Looking ahead at the propagation predictor, it looks like...
Sunday 0700 Eastern
75/80-meters
Sunday 1800 Eastern
40-meters
Sunday 2200 Eastern
75/80-meters
would be the best times/frequency's.
Thoughts? Sundays are a tough one due to it being a relatively family oriented day. Would another day of the week be better?
-
I am good with any of them, but I probably have a more free schedule than most.
-
Sundays work well for me. I'll plan on participating on the 14th.
-
As you can see by the screen shot of propagation for this coming Sunday, 40-metrrs looks like the band we will be on for the ERIN/Unchainedpreppers net this coming Sunday (April 14, 2019). The best seems to be 1800 hrs but since it is Palm Sunday and lets shoot for 1900 hrs. eastern 2300 hrs Zulu (UTC). This time will be after most folks have Sunday dinner.

There will be quite a few European DX contests happening this coming weekend so hopefully they will be done by the time we are on air. There is also the Rookie Roundup contest put on by the ARRL for the same day running from 1800 to 2359 hrs. ZULU (1400 to 2000 hrs eastern). So the frequency scheduled to use will probably not be the frequency we end up with. Being the optimist that I am, this will be good training for all. :-D
HF Radio SSB Receiver
P= 7.287.00 Mhz 7287.0 Khz
A= 7.227.00 Mhz 7227.0 Khz
C= This Subject line here on UP
E= Text...I need your cell phone number if you haven't sent it to me as yet.
As usual, I will be on the frequency at least 15-minutes early. If you are there early go ahead and send out a few CQ ERIN/UP calls. You do not need to wait for me. This also tends to hold a frequency early and check for spray over from other nearby frequency's. We can then adjust appropriately and send out messages ahead of the NET to all playing.
Please invite other like minded friends. Last, please drop me an email, PM, or text letting me know if you are planning on attending the net.
73 & God Bless folks,

I'll be there. No alternate frequency on 75 meters?

Great Jackalope!
Pick one on 75/80 too.
Thx

ROGER that Jackalope!
3.957 as a Alternate in the PACE. :bravo:

Hoping for better conditions tonight.
Been playing around with my SignaLink and trying to get it to work with Digipan...Seems to decode PSK via speaker, but cannot get it to use the SignaLink for decoding...
Just bought an oscilloscope to help with troubleshooting. It came in the mail today. I'll also be using it with my Arduino experimentations, someday... It should replace my monster tektronics one!

Listening on 7.287 MHz.

I gitz my ears on. There is some splatter from a GA station doing a GA. QSO. Stand by.

Roger that Brother.
-
Not hearing anybody so I will close this down at 1915 hrs.
-
JohnyMac - I can almost make out your call, but it is too low in the noise here for a conversation.
-
Same here, he's right at the noise level, and with the splatter from just below, it wouldn't work.
-
Try 75 meters?
-
Listening on 3.957...
30 over noise here

-
GREAT BC. Chatting with Harry KA2DRE
-
Great chat folks!
After working our way through the PACE we ended up on 3.962 Mhz. The only folks I could QSO with was folks from Unchainedpreppers.
I know there was some serious weather going through south of the MD-line and as we ended the net I could progressively hear thunder crashed on the frequency we were working.
I would be interested in a short brief on tonight's net whether you TX'd or just RX'd.
73!
-
I would have been there but I could only stand a certain amount of static crashes. I did check into the TAPRN net but bailed out after I checked in. Later a storm came through that kicked our butts and knocked the power out until noon today. Maybe next time.

NO worries PK. Ya' gave it the old college try.
