STANDING BY ON 3.974 mHZ

SSB net - JM is very very weak. However, there is NO digital broadcast interference at all up here :-) Voice net is QRK zero for me tonight because of propagation.

Remember to have your RxID on. Upper right corner of the screen.

WOW! Diginet , JM is S9+20dB over . Excellent signal.
2.5 Watt signal from NJ was solid copy here in coastal Virginia. QRP Works!
-
tHX SIR JOHN. I will let Kevin know.
Due to a bunch of QRM from 3.975 and 3.972 I am now on 3.978 Mhz LSB.
hope to see ya' there.
-
we moved to 3.980 due to someone scheduled to use that frequ.
-
VERY Good copy of JM/NCS down here in coastal Va on 3980LSB. I won't be on in voice tonight; the Missus is trying to sleep in the next room, due to her nursing schedule and I have a BIG MOUTH!!! The Morse key is basically silent though, so I might send a few DI-DAHS to let you know I'm listening.

I monitored the Digital net. The other night I turned the power on my radio all the way down so I could Practice CW. Then tonight, I forgot that it was setting on zero. Fortunately I checked the power and realized that it was turned down. I hope when I turned it wide open you could hear me better. At 76, I sometimes think I can still do what I did when I was young. I grabbed a large, heavy, plastic storage box and carried in my daughters house and about 9 AM I woke up and was in extreme pain. Moving around a bit today helped loosen up the sore mucles but I hurt my sciatic nerve and the pain was beyond belief. I finally gave in and took a pain pill and it has helped a lot but now I feel goofy. I usually stay up really late but I think that I'll be going to bed early tonight. The band wasn't in the best shape tonight but I was able to hear most of what everybody said.
-
Once you boosted the volume you were great. By the way, even at 0-watts I heard ya' faintly although you were in the weeds.
You take care of yourself Brother. We need you.

A few things for this evenings nets.
1) I will be on the digital net a bit early tonight. I received a heads-up that NY AmRRoN will be using the freq. starting at 1900 hrs. too.
ERIN has been using this Freq. at this time for 2-years now. I will not be pushed off it.
2) Phone will be a challenge tonight due to a solar storm with its bullseye on N-America. But we will still go forward. 3.974 Mhz or higher.
See ya then.

John, NY AMRRON is Monday nights, should be no impact to the ERIN net.

-
OK, I'm turning on the radio and computer and will be monitoring the digital net.

The AmRRON guys are top notch radio operators and have a large stretch across the country. American Redoubt Radio Operators Network is what it stands for. They have plenty of practice nets. If anyone is looking to increase their proficiency on the radio, I highly recommend participating with these guys. TBH, its how i found the ERIN net.
-
All in fun. More than a few AmRRON here.
Sir John Honeybucket
-
Oh I know, no worries here. Just wanted to respond because there are radio operators <gasp> who never heard of them ;)
-
Tonight's voice net will be on 3.984 Mhz LSB I will start early check-ins at 1950 hrs. eastern. Just to much splatter south of this freq.
-
Lost you JM. I sent my verbal report and it turns out that I doubled with you.
SJH
I had the heterodyne filter ON and that's probably why I didn't hear your CW tones.
-
I could hear Sir John pretty good. Conditions faded pretty quickly.
-
I tried to join the SSB net, but I can't tune my antenna that high.
-
Right after the phone net, I played a bit lower on 74-meters. For February, I will pick a 75/80-meter freq. closer to 3.800 Mhz. Stay tuned.
-
Been awhile. Is this happening tonight?
20:00 Hrs?
-
Yes. Look at some recent ERIN subject posts and you can find the PHONE frequency has dropped way down near 3.800.
-
Ok maypop if you are going to join the 2000 hrs net please look at the February SOI for the PACE we will be on 3.825 as on 3.807 we were interfering with someone on 3.810. ;)
