FRS/GMRS Radios. Help?
« on: October 09, 2011, 01:36:44 PM »
What would be some good FRS/GMRS radios, that are actually good, relatively cheap, and can stand up to some pretty harsh use/climate? And it should be able to take some sort of headset, so I don't have to fumble around with the radio itself when I need to communicate.

Any ideas gents?

voyageinator, just so you know, the request for info post you replied to was about 5 years old.  But an interesting link for me to look at and learn a bit.

If you need a second magazine, its time to call in air support.

God created Man, Col. Sam Colt made him equal, John Moses Browning turned equality to perfection, Gaston Glock turned perfection into plastic fantastic junk.

Oooooppps !     Thanks !  Should have checked the date ! :o
Friend of mine asked me about good and not too expensive transceiver with no Ham license requirement, and found this new one with interesting features.
(And of course advised him to take his Ham tech. license!)
