Here is the PACE as of January 4, 2020 for the January 12, 2020 net.
Remember, if a frequency is being used, search up frequency to see if the net has moved. Also, I will post on this thread a change in frequency if it happens.
The propagation predictor is attached to this email. As you see on the predictor, 40-meters will be 90% or better at 1600 hrs eastern from the Canadian/USA border to GA./FL border. As we move into 1700 hrs eastern 75/80 will improve.
1600 hrs eastern - Mode phone SW Radio Frequency's 1600 hrs eastern
P= 7.184 Mhz LSB 7184 Khz
A= 3.967 Mhz LSB 3967 Khz
C= Unchainedpreppers on this thread no need to sign-up you can follow as a guest
E= Text. If I do not have your number drop a dime and give it to me.
Rules of engagement:
1) Let the group know here using this thread, if you are going to be attempting to join the net. For PERSEC reasons
DO NOT write down your call sign.
2) Net Control will be on the air about 15-minutes before the start of the net collecting early check-ins.
3) The agenda for the first round;
> Any traffic you have to pass,
> Weather update for your area,
> Any local news that is relevant to preparedness that we all should be aware of,
> Any help that you, family member, friend, needs, and
It will be a round robin net starting with the first person who checks in and going around to all in order
of checking-in, then back to the first station that checked-in. At that time we will go around a second time. The nights
topic will be, A discussion of the VA. Festivities on January 20th.
At the end of the first round, you can say, "73" and go QRT or hang for the discussion. It is more important that you
have an opportunity to check out your equipment than to hang and rag chew.
It is encouraged that if you hear someone and net control obviously can not, say "I have traffic for insert call sign here
this is insert your call sign here". As an example: "I HAVE TRAFFIC FROM KA7FOX THIS IS KC3LRS". I think we all will
be able to hear all stations this net but it is better to be prepared.
4) Invite like-minded hams that might like to participate.
5) Have fun!
Looking forward seeing ya' all on the air Sunday.

I'll plan on participating. Thanks for organizing the net!
-
I'll try to be there to participate. The subject is very relevant to me since I'm in Va.
-
I plan to listen in, I don't have my general yet but do finally have my rig up and running!
-
Great PK and wayupnorth!
Well we have the far north, middle, and southern states represented. Any others?

Hey JMac, sorry I missed the last net. Had a funeral to go to of one of the gentlemen that accompanied me to the last class we attended together. His father in law passed. Also one of the other gentleman's father passed and his mother passed about two weeks later. He attended 2 of the classes with me. I'll do my best to make the next net.

Great Flash!

There is a net on 7.185 Mhz at this time which is splattering over to 7.184 Mhz. I will hang here to see if their net ends HOWEVER 7.213.50 Mhz is free.
IF the net on 7.185 Mhz DOES NOT end at 1550 -hrs eastern I will move to 7.213.50 Mhz.

moved to Alternate 3.967 Mhz

I could hear Johny, the FL station and PK on 40 meters. Everyone is in the noise on 80 meters. I tried both a dipole and a vertical with the same results.
-
There's a net on 7.185 and I don't hear anyone on 3.967, there's a rag chew going on 3.965.
-
Well, it was a good net but conditions sucked. After shutting down on 40 and picking it up again on 80, it was much better. I'm all set for the TAPRN net at 9pm later tonight.
The fellow named DAVE in England that I was talking about on the radio is just East of Stoke Pound and his antenna looks like an H but it has more elements that you can't see. He feeds it with two coax cables and can switch from working in one direction to working the opposite direction.

This was my best UC net so far. I heard all the stations at least once, even if it was only a call sign. Johnny Mac came in best for me. JM, I forgot to give you a signal report, you were 5-9.
I couldn't hear anyone on the alternate.
Thanks all,
Mike

@ PK, yeah brother you sounded GREAT on 40 & 80 but a tad better on 80. Thanks for playing.
@ Cooter, I am so stoked that we were able to communicate on 40 Brother. You were coming in a 5/6 to 5/8 way up here in NE PA. Great going!!!
@ Jackalope, I did hear you but just above the noise level then you vanished. Man O'man we got to figure this one out as we
could always QSO when you were in NY.
We had two other players. One from NC/Raleigh/mobile at a solid 5/9 and one from Ohio that was a 5/5-5/7 then he dropped off into the weeds.
Good stuff gents! Thx for playing
