Here is the SOI for this coming Tuesday's net.
The next ERIN net will be Tuesday May 25, 2021, starting at 1900 hrs. eastern with the digital ERIN net. The PACE for that net is as follows,
1) At 1900 hrs. eastern the digital net will commence.
Primary 7.110 Mhz USB Contestia 4/250 1000 on the Waterfall
Alternate 3.588 Mhz USB Contestia 4/250 1000 on the Waterfall

Emergency Text. Do I have your cell phone number?
When the Net Control Station (NCS) calls for check-in's this is the reporting format,
de your call/name/location/emergency traffic/ de your call
Once the NCS has gathered check-in's he/she will post the check-in's for corrections or additional check-in's.
The NCS will then start the reports portion of the digital net. Report format will be,
de your call/name/location/traffic if any/your report for around your AO, Covid, unrest, military movement, etc/weather/de your call
2) At 2000 hrs the voice net will commence.
Primary 7.238 Mhz LSB or higher till clear air
Alternate 3.968 Mhz LSB or higher till clean air

There were 4 check-ins, including myself, on the digital net tonight.

Sorry, The wife and I decided to go 20 miles South and eat at the Cracker Barrel and it was about 5:15 pm. No problem, we'll be back in time for the Phone net at 8 PM. While we were heading South we decided to call my grandson to see if he wanted to drive North about 25 miles and meet us there. Then we decided that it would be easier if we just drive down to where he was because they have a Cracker Barrel there also. No problem, we should be able to eat and still be home by 8 PM. Well, about 8 PM we left and headed home and arrived at 9:05 PM. Yea, we missed the net but I never pass up an opportunity to visit my grandson and his wife. OK, Maybe next week I'll catch the net.

Quick AAR on last nights phone net.
Although conditions around my AO were less than perfect, we did have four folks on the phone net last night. Jackalope came through okay till he turned on his amp. Then he came in a solid 5/6 and fully readable up here in the neither lands. There was a new check-in from NC just south of Raleigh that was booming in up here. I hope he checks back in. He did a great first time job on his report.
My rig is still in the shop, so hopefully we have a NCS for the digital portion of the next Tuesday's net.

I'm a little hesitant to jump up as NCS again, given that no one could hear me last time. But if no one else is able, I am sure open to another try.

I probably won't be there, as our local radio club is having its first in person meeting of the year. But they're also broadcasting it on zoom.

My home radio station started up meeting's outside last July. Then in October till today we do a in-person meeting that is zoomed to all members.
I applaud all clubs that have stayed together post the Chinese Virus scare. :bravo:
As a side note, I do not have my 590S back yet. So hopefully jhm or Kevin will be the NCS for tonight's digital net.

I am monitoring 7.110 and not getting much.

I had one checkin tonight for the digital net.
I will work on an improved antenna and keep on keepin' on.

FWIW - I am getting a lot of QRN on 40m. And am picking up no other traffic on 7.110. Normally I hear a few AmRRON folks getting ready for the Tues practice net.

Had four checkins tonight on digital. NC, GA, OH, and PA. So I guess m y radio is working LOL.
Hopefully all is ready for the 2000 hrs phone net.
I will come on at ~1945-ish for early checkins.

I turned the radio on at 7:30 and heard JohnnyMac getting ready for the phone net. I'm tuned up and waiting.

Good phone net. We had five checkins.
FL, NC, TN, VA, and yours truly in NE PA.
Starting next month, I want to start having others be NCS for digital and phone for June. It is good practice in case I am not here.
Starting June 1st net and progressing on June 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th will need a volunteer for digital (1900 hrs) and phone (2000 hrs). Let me know here or PM me if you would like to volunteer.

I've got the Windows 7 installed and it seems to be working OK. Of course I still can only listen to Digital because I haven't upgraded my Ham Radio Deluxe yet. I'll try to catch you folks on the Phone net in a few minutes. :popcorn:

Good net tonight. :fuckYeah: I could hear everyone. Some better than others but nobody was down in the noise. :popcorn: The QRM from up the band was somewhat annoying. I forgot to mention FLOUR. Since it was mentioned in the past weeks, I bought another small sack just in case. I have been following the economy for quite a while and I have noticed the creeping inflation. I believe we are starting into the Knee of the curve and we will be in hyper-inflation sooner rather than later. :tinfoil: When it takes off like it did in Venezuela, John Q. Public will get their head out their butt but it will be too late for them to do anything about it. :facepalm:

Good digital net and a very good phone net.
Four folks on the digital net. From MA. south to NC. Where were our FL. folks???
Voice was very good with 8 participants. We had folks from Canada south to NC. We were missing our FL, GA, and MS contingent though. I pray that all is OK.
I will post the June SOI tomorrow or Thursday.

Hell, even I'm worried about what I wrote. I firmly believe that those of us who are prepared for it will be a thousand times better off than Joe Blow on the street. Prepping, living in a Rural Area, having your own Power System, a strong Food Supply, and the ability to Protect our selves doesn't assure us of survival but it does assure us of being the last survivors. @ PKv, most of us here at UP are set for the coming storm. What I worry about is security. Many of the folks in our tribe do not get that part of prepping.
@ Patriotman, AWESOME! If you need any help, you or anybody just needs to help. The secret is persistence. Put aide each day for study and taking practice exams. A dedicated one hour a day and a chapter a week, will get you your "ticket" faster than expected. Remember the trick of downloading the ARRL practice exam app to your phone. Then taking those exams while wasting time at the...Doctors, DMV, stop lights, at church (People will think you are following the Priest using the Bible app on your phone), etc.
