Title: Ukrainian Nuclear Reactor Burning
Post by: JohnyMac on March 03, 2022, 10:51:38 PM
Well I guess we all better buy some potassium Iodide.

Nothing says war like a nuclear power plant getting bombed (https://www.poynter.org/reporting-editing/2022/zaporizhzhia-nuclear-power-plant-energodar-ukraine-shelled-fire/) and being on fire.  :coffeeNews:

Turns out it was an administrative building at the edge of the complex that got ignited by a parachute flare. Russia seized the plant, there was never any remote danger of radiation release. Even if it totally melted down, the danger to the US is pretty close to zero. I think Russia seized nuclear facilities to prevent the Ukrainians from committing false-flag attacks to hype up the world to come and save them. Like everything about this war, nothing is as first reported. Now Ukrainian forces are housing troops and placing artillery batteries in and around school buildings.

Putin is evil, but so is the Ukrainian government and elite who just want to keep the global-level money laundering and grift alive a little longer, and they don't care how many ordinary citizens have to die to accomplish that goal.

The instant that I saw the news report about the Nuclear plant, my first thought was, "Bullshit! The Russians wouldn't knock the lights out in the Russian speaking eastern part of the Ukraine." They just want to control the electric power so the Ukrainian government can't turn the lights off in the part of Ukraine that may or may not want to back the Russians. Hmmm.... I think that my first reaction was pretty close to being right on target.
