Trauma Shears allowed by TSA

I just went through security at Raleigh-Durham with my ankle trauma kit. Only think I changed to it was removing the chest needle. Still has my 5 inch trauma shears in it. No problems at all. Not even a comment. I should probably do a review of my Ankle Kit soon. It’s probably my favorite piece of gear I’ve purchased. Ever.

That is quite interesting and unexpected in my opinion. Did they know you were military?

Interesting.

I did know that they Okayed scissors awhile back for folks who knit, do needle point, etc. on an airplane.

I did TSA Precheck but the person running the X Ray did not.
Trauma Shears are allowed through TSA. But it depends on the TSA agent as to how the choose to enforce/make up rules.
