French steal UK masks!

 France steals 130,000 masks headed to UK Hospitals they also confiscated hand sanitizer!  :gasMask:
 
 My opinion is that that is an act of war. France is condemning hundred's if not thousands to their death. How will the UK respond? :gunner:

There is a lot of that going on.
The US government is confiscating / appropriating isopropyl alcohol from the refiners.
By doing this, they are picking winners who will get to package this vs the losers who will get shut out of the market for sanitizers, alcohol wipes and cleaners.

 I haven't heard of that but breweries like Dog Fish Head are making hand sanitizer and selling it at market to the government.

We are supplying ethyl alcohol to a number of distilleries, and many other packagers, that are making hand sanitizers.
Problem is that there are not enough bottles or dispensers

Hiya JoJo,

The incident worried me also when I found out it had happened.

So I took some time to dig deeper for info on what had happened.

It turns out that the French halted the shipment along with some others. Then the UK and French governments started to communicate and Wheel and deal.

The shipments were later released free to travel to the UK.

It might have caused some problems, yet is ok for the moment.

 There should not have been a deal necessary, they took their stuff. They should have returned it promptly. Any kind of a deal should be looked at as extortion by France.

Countries are rediscovering the idea of serving their citizens first. Weird, I know a "Hitler" guy who has been a proponent of this. Before you know it, governments might rediscover the idea of borders /s
