Walz, "I am going to vote for JD Vance on November 5th!"

MrsMac and I reluctantly watched the Vice President debate last evening between Vance & Walz. Wow, I was planning on watching the first couple of minutes then changing the channel. After all, nobody votes for a President based on their VP candidate. Well not last evening.

Here are some of my wife's comments during the debate.

1) "Why is Walz so angry?"
2) "Did I just hear one of the commentators feed Walz an answer to a question he had a problem answering?"
3) "I was going to vote for Trump but reluctantly. Now I am totally behind the Vance Trump ticket."

I wonder how many women had similar thoughts and comments too like MrsMac. I think that Vance just gave women across the country the "go ahead" to vote for Trump because of Vance's even keel, personal, adult-like performance.

Just my opinion; women across the country cerebral wise, understand we need Trump's economic platform while at the same time, dislike his personality and past discretions. Vance will be why they will vote for him now.

Let's watch the polls in the swing states over the next 7-10 days. I suspect we will see Trump take over from Harris.

I watched the debate with very great interest.  My system lets me pause and rewind and rerun every bit as it happens, should I want to rehear a question or comment.


I had to back up and listen several times to Walz commenting on how he made friends with school shooters.  Yes that's what was said.  Not meant but said.  Yes he got words mixed up and meant he met with victim families of school shooters and became friends with them, but that is the screw up he made.  Making a screw up that bad is unacceptable, even if it is a simple error.

No walking that back.  Not with a Caterpillar D-9 and great big chain.

Also, he tried to explain/defend/validate/excuse his claim to have been in Tiananmen Square when the unpleasantries were ongoing there.  He should have just walked off stage after that.

My ex-wife watched the debate and...
... her takeaway was that JD Vance was and is a liar, liar, liar.

Some folks link their beliefs to provable, irreducible fact.
Others simply believe (with all their fiber) what suits emotionally.
 
And there is a YUGE cohort of herd-members who share the same emotional zeitgeist.
   If this cohort is as pervasive as I fear, the chances of America _ever_ being restored to the lands we grew up in are... well...
