The Five FUBARs' is a brilliant short piece by James Howard Kunstler. Worth four minutes of your time to read.

"The USA is a runaway train with a dead man in the engineer?s seat. The conductor goes through the cars assuring the passengers that everything is fine. . . never mind the screeching wheels on the curves. . . or the blinding strobe effect of low sunlight passing through the trees out the window at a hundred and forty mph. . . or the bump that made half the stuff in the overhead luggage rack jump out. More than half the people on-board are at tachycardia levels of fright ? some are wailing ? but the other less than half just remain fixed on their phones and laptop screens. They can?t be bothered to look out the window. . . ." - The Five FUBARs'

Something, I was pondering over the weekend; the American people are putting way to much reliance on Donald Trump pulling the country out of the dark abyss we find ourselves in. What if Trump does not make it to January 20th, 2025? When in office, he will face the full onslaught of the "deep state". Sorely, I do not see a peaceful resolution.

Had President Trump a second term things might have been different.  If President Trump is elected upcoming, I think the Country is too far gone for him to bring back.

And the riots, Antifa, BLM, or some new named group of antagonists will start again.  Perhaps the targets won't be police stations, but targets closer to homes.

I said to my wife long before Tucker Carlson said it.  There is only one way to stop President Trump.  If I were in charge of the Secret Service, that would be my primary concern.

    We're living in interesting times.  Unfortunately, I don't see Trump accomplishing very much.  I think the country has deteriorated too much.  I think we're going to see the American version of balkanization.  Kunstler has a pretty good feel of the pulse of the nation, and he's been pessimistic for the past several years.  It's not looking good for the home team.

The thin veneer of civilisation can be stripped away very quickly as excuses for criminal behavior on the left is offset by accusations of serious criminality used to suppress   the right/political opposition.  The use of protected criminal gangs is nothing new in dictatorships.  Many American cities are only a few steps away from becoming Haiti.
