Title: The Christmas Season
Post by: hjmoosejaw on December 01, 2012, 02:07:08 AM
I was watching the news tonight and they started the same old argument again, about the X-mas tree being called the "Holiday Tree". It made me dig up an old post I made, out of the archives. Anyway, here it is:

I have an idea for a T-shirt.   It would go something like this:  Does the phrase "In God We Trust" or "Merry Christmas" offend you? Well then, How does the phrase "Kiss My Ass" strike ya?

My wife always makes shortbread to give away at Christmas time. Well we forgot to bring the shortbread molds/pans when we vacated our house in RI. She was whining a little bit yesterday about not making shortbread this year BECAUSE she didn't have her molds.

I pointed out that those cheap Scott's didn't have fancy molds to make shortbread. She poo poo'd my comment and continued to brood. Well I told her to get into the truck and we were going to go to the big city about and hour away, and find her a shortbread mold.  [img]http://www.arrse.co.uk/at Well reluctantly she got into the truck and we went.

Well we never found a shortbread mold/pan however what my wife did find was the Christmas spirit.

She told me that she had been thinking about what I had said earlier about not needing a mold and she was willing to give it a try but she needed rice flour.  [img]http://www.arrse.co.uk/at

I thought to myself that those old Scott's didn't have no stinken rice flour but kept my mouth shut. I drove her to a fancy super market praying that they had it as we had already spent way to much time on this project.

The super market did have it and it looks like we will be baking shortbread's today. I will post a picture later.

Christmas sucks, end of story. You know stores close for that damn holiday? Every year it bites me in the ass. I get up to enjoy my day off and have a great idea for what i can do that day and every single time it requires a trip to the store. And i drive over there and then im like woah the parking lots freakin empty. Then i say "AH SHIT ITS CHRISTMAS!!"....

Random day #359 screws me again.
