Saudi Arabia Ends 50-Year Petrol Dollar Contract

I have been reporting that BRICS is here to stay and the number one global currency, the Dollar, is going to be phased out. Well here we are folks.

In June 2024, Saudi Arabia is expected to announce that it will cease all oil sales in US dollars, marking the end of the 50-year Petrodollar Pact signed on June 6, 1974, which expires on June 9, 2024.
The decision not to renew this pact stems from Saudi Arabia's recent invitation to BRICS and its move towards dedollarization.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has informed the Saudi government that the country will no longer accept US dollars for oil transactions.
This shift includes considerations to accept other currencies, such as the Chinese yuan, for oil sales, as reported by the Wall Street Journal on March 15, 2022. - Ron's Substack

This is a big deal and nobody is reporting on it, why? This kind of think moves us ever closer to WWIII to divert attention from a collapsing economy and to hit the reset button for global economies.

I would like to see us oil independent again, undercut all their oil sales and then kick them in the nuts with a bunker buster ,but thats just me

I get it that the US is pissed off but when the contract ran out, the Arabs were under no obligation to renew the contract. If you rent a house and the lease runs out, the owner has a perfect right to make a better deal with someone else. The Petro Dollar was us screwing the whole world. It's payback time and we are going to have to put up with it. I don't like it any more than anyone else but it's time to pay the fiddler.

Actually I see it as the new world order pushing more buttons in order to press everyone else down without shedding blood. And 99% of out govt, including the alphabet agencies, are in on it

Last week saw some unusual volatility on the stock exchanges - now we have the explanation - word gets out before "word gets out".
The global finance leaders are entrenched with ever diminishing need to follow dollar behavior.  Who knows... the BRICs may even add gold back into their "basket" of value markers.   Having left the gold standard entirely with Nixon and making King Dollar nothing but fiat toilet paper, the day is coming due when pipers will be expecting payment - with the ability to demand it.   Or else.
Very conflicted here... on one hand, can hardly wait to see the herds of smug, willfully ignorant sheeple come up against the reality of their "beliefs".    OTOH, the innocent will suffer with the guilty and that is never a happy thing to wish for.

I do agree that one basic plank of American policy should be to return to and to build upon, energy independence.  That way, if foreign delivery of oil, uranium and etc. goes into the toilet, who cares? 

OTOH, much of the world does not use toilets, but I digress.
