I thought that this had already had its run- come to find out its is still a 'thing'.
maybe i'm a dinosaur but isn't compelling 'right think' and 'right speak' straight out of Orwell's book 1984?
i can treat individuals as an individual (then i can make up my own mind on how to address people, places and things) - but forcing and coercing speech still seems wrong to me.
A U of Michigan student brilliantly blew this up when he selected his gender pronoun as "His Majesty".

Yes, Kbop, it's a bunch of politically correct bullshit. At work we have a guy that's going through the transgender thing, going from man to woman. I just call him by his last name, no pronouns. And I've been told that I'm a dinosaur. Every year we're mandated at work to complete a bunch of on-line courses teaching us how to think politically correct thoughts, and how to address all this bullshit... Well this year I won't be completing those courses, I filed my retirement paperwork yesterday :fuckYeah:

Thanks everyone, I didn't mean to derail the thread. The PC bullshit has gotten to be too much, and I'm sure there's a lot of Americans who feel the same way. It's interesting to note the blowback that Trump has gotten in regards to Baltimore. From my brief visits to the city, I agree with him. Trump is calling it like it is, and he's calling out Cummings. Cummings is typical of the Democrats who call racism at the drop of a hat, but honestly, what has Cummings accomplished for his constituents? The same applies to AOC, they remind me of my chickens who squawk and raise heck over minor things.
