Though the author makes it seem like this is somehow worse due to Trump, it has been going on for decades, regardless of which political party is in power. Has trump circumvented the Constitution? Yes. Did Biden. Yes. The problem is people listen to influencers and TV rather than think. Until that changes, nothing else will.
As a slight aside, I found it highly hypocritical that Vance lectured Europe about something we do ourselves. I think the next four years are going to be a lot of "smoke and mirrors" and misdirection, with very little substance unless you happen to be rich.
