2nd Amendment Protest in Denver
« on: March 04, 2013, 03:05:40 PM »
It appears that there was a 2 Amendment protest in Denver CO. today. The Denver Tea Party invited folks to drive around State offices beeping their horns in support of the 2A and to protest newly proposed laws in CO. http://denverteaparty.ning.com/events/2nd-amendment-auto-rally-michael-brown-khow

Quote
Folks,

WE MUST save the 2nd Amendment and our God given right to self-protection - the Marxists are not listening they must hear us now.  You don't need to be there all day just stop by and make a few rounds around the capital - can we get some liberty groups to rally with signs suggesting that everyone who drives by the capitol in all directions honks their horns when driving by.

Seeking 1,000 participants, maybe several thousand, in an all day car rally around the Capitol to stop the Colorado Senate from conducting business as they are to read all gun control bills on in the Senate - time to demonstrate as they have us all chasing around to town hall meetings and not allowing us to ask questions - the Denver mayor and our Governor have both demonstrated that honking horns and waving is 1st Amendment rights - it is time to turn Alinsky on the proponents of it.  It worked in Tennessee.

It looks like John Ross's book, Unintended Consequences and Matt Bracken's Enemies foreign & Domestic. are coming true. So will the consequences for the spineless politicians and alphabet soup agencies.

For me, it is now crystal clear why DHS is buying all of the ammo, select fire ugly black rifles and those armored vehicles. Crystal clear.

The amount of gun owners and citizens rallying against the Commierado gun bills were overwhelming when the bills were heard last month in the House committee and today in the Senate Committee.

Each time, the Democratic controlled House and Senate voted in favor of the bills.

One ignoramus in the House went so far as to say that women didn't need to carry guns on campus for self-defense. His reasoning?

"It's why we have call boxes, it's why we have safe zones, it's why we have the whistles. Because you just don't know who you're gonna be shooting at."

And today people participated in, and as of this post, still are driving around the capitol and honking their horns in disapproval of these bills.

And since the hearings got underway, a persistent wail of honking horns and car alarms has been heard inside the hearing rooms, signaling the determination of some opponents, many frustrated at the limited time allowed for official testimony, to make their opposition heard.

But regardless of the push against these bills, as of this post, 3 of the 7 bills have passed so far.

Convicted domestic violence offenders and anyone subject to a restraining order will be required to relinquish their guns to law enforcement.
Universal State background checks must be conducted by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation for all private gun transactions between individuals (amended exceptions:
Gun buyers must pay a $10 or $12 fee for a Colorado Bureau of Investigation instant background check when purchasing/transferring a gun.

As of this posting, the hearing on limiting magazine capacities is going on.
UPDATES:

Magazine limit of 15 rounds maximum has passed committee (bye bye Magpul - depending on final reading and vote in Senate)
Bill holding manufacturers and sellers of assault-style weapons in Colorado liable for crimes committed with their guns passed committee
Bill banning conceal carry on campus passed committee
Bill banning online training for those seeking a concealed carry permit passed committee

Prepare to become a criminal tomorrow for possessing inanimate objects that are legal today.

If these bills pass the Senate when they come up for final vote, then there is nothing left to lose. The Governor already said he'd sign them.

You're enemies have been made known.

They want to control you.

They want you defenseless.

I'm betting that this is just the tip of the iceberg for laws that the Fed has planned to shore up control in CO.  The state is practically becoming a second center of Federal Government with all of the agencies, NSA, CIA, FBI, DHS, Pentagon and others building major facilities and moving operations there.  What I find interesting is that they are all control and enforcement type agencies.  For instance, the Social Security Administration or Department of Housing hasn't announced any moves of their operations centers to CO.  It's all kind of curious when you think about it.

Yupper TG & Sledge. Do you remember Sledge how we were preparing for the end of the world two years ago November? Something about comet XYZ1234. Barry and his entourage were hanging in CO. a lot back then.

I think Mntn wrote at the the time that there is quite the underground bunker system near Bolder. Or maybe I was having a flash back to Kings novel, The Stand.
