All Signs Are Pointing To Civil War
« on: June 24, 2018, 02:15:28 PM »
Is a civil war already happening? Lisa Haven tells it like it is. With the democrats trying to disarm the American Public It's hard not to believe a civil war isn't already happening.

Couple rounds through the radiator of the truck and they will be walking through the desert for a good ways.  Thin the heard from top of hills and few will make the road up here.

As far as the civil war aspect, 4 days and its over.  A few Starbucks closed and all is done.

This recent 1:1 protests is because the Left is loosing. It is in desperation mode. With that written, I worry of when the words stop and the looting & shooting begins. I think its time to reread Bracken's A Scenario for the Second Civil War essay or Ross's Unintended Consequences.

We are not a divided country as it is just a swath of trouble makers on the left that make it sound like all of the Democrats want socialism, open borders, and take your guns - Trust me, they don't.

We are coming towards that fate full day when the bullets will fly.

As stated above, time to reread Bracken and Ross.

The notion of a Second Civil War is very concerning to me. When the Communists took over Russia, only about 10% of the population were Communists. They presented themselves as the majority and caused havoc and eventually took over. The Ultra Left are presenting themselves as the Majority and are causing havoc exactly the same as the Communist did. The last thing I ever want to do is shoot someone but if they start a war, I'll protect my country. I've noticed that some of the moderate Leftists are ashamed to associate themselves with the nut job extreme left wingers. If the Moderate Lefty's bail out on the extremists, there will be no Civil War and a lot of the Nut Jobs will end up in prison where they belong.

Trump officials advised to get concealed carry permits in wake of left-wing public harassment

  https://www.theblaze.com/news/2018/06/26/trump-officials-advised-to-get-concealed-carry-permits-in-wake-of-left-wing-public-harassment

The first step up was Maxine Waters calling for intimidation tactics of President Trump's officials.
If you believe the top democrats are serious about condemning her I have a bridge in Brooklyn I'll sell you. Cheap!
The next step up Concealed Carry Permits for Trump officials.
What will the third step bring us? I hope there isn't one.

Waters should be charged with sedition.  However, I don't think the Trump administration has the balls to formally charge Waters with sedition, because of the fear of triggering the next Civil War.  So, Trump allows Waters to say whatever she likes, which just emboldens the Left.  There has to be a defined point where the administration says, "That is enough!"

Yeah, I agree with JoJo that every bit of nastiness from the left just helps to elevate Mr. Trump's numbers. Will it translate to a 'red wave' though? Congress as a whole, needs to go Red in 2019 big time not just hold its own.

My concern meter this past several weeks has gone up a notch or two. As the left looses more and more ground, I suspect some ugliness is coming our way this summer.

Socialist takes primary from #4 in Dem heirarcy (10 tern repeat up there) in House of Reps.   He had strong chance of being Pelosi replacement in Speaker seat.

Rather surprising results on the election.  I suspect it gives the Repub opponent a much stronger chance of taking that seat.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez win stuns Democrats, puts new attention on Pelosi
By Edmund DeMarche | Fox News

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a former campaign organizer for Bernie Sanders, pulled off a stunning upset in New York City on Tuesday by defeating Rep. Joseph Crowley, D-N.Y., a member of party leadership who was considered all but a shoo-in.

Crowley, 56, a 10-term incumbent from Queens and fierce Trump-basher, was a steady fundraiser for fellow Democrats and was thought by some to be a future speaker of the House.

His defeat left no clear potential choice in the House to succeed Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., as the party's leader. Further, it exposed deepening divisions within the party as the liberal wing flexes its muscles in the primaries -- pressuring the establishment to back big-government policies like Medicare for All and guaranteed jobs.

There were times that Crowley's campaign in New York’s 14th Congressional District showed signs of fragility. The New York Times editorial page, after his loss, reported that he ran a lackluster campaign that bordered on complacency. The paper pointed out that he debated his opponent only once.

Ocasio-Cortez, 28, who is from the Bronx, is a member of the Democratic Socialists of America and ran a low-budget campaign where she was outspent by an 18-1 margin.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez pulled off a stunning primary upset.  (Getty)

"We have had our country on autopilot and we’ve been accepting what’s been happening," she told Refinery29 earlier this month. "And what's happening in this country is indicative that we need new leadership. We need new leadership in the Democratic Party and we need new leadership in the country."

Among her issues is expanding the Medicare program to people of all ages and abolishing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). She recently went to Tornillo, Texas, to protest against policies that have separated parents from their children at the U.S.-Mexico border.

“We beat a machine with a movement, and that is what we have done today,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “Working-class Americans want a clear champion and there is nothing radical about moral clarity in 2018.”

Her win drew comparisons to when then-House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, a Republican, lost to unknown Dave Brat in 2014, and raised questions for Pelosi.

“In the short term, Pelosi may have crossed another potential challenger off of her list, but the bigger picture can’t be good for the existing Democratic leadership structure,” Jim Newell wrote in Slate. “Crowley, for all his accumulated power, just got taken out on the mantra of generational change. This presents an argument, for Pelosi’s detractors in the conference, that the rest of the leadership should follow suit.”

Politico wrote that although a rival to Pelosi was defeated, Ocasio-Cortez represents a “reminder of the generational demands for change at the top of the party hierarchy,” and her victory will likely send a “shudder through the moderate wing of the party.”
Former GOP presidential nominee thanks supporters; Dan Springer reports from Provo, Utah.

The National Republican Campaign Committee celebrated the defeat of "poor Joe Crowley."

"House Democrats, hoping for a post-Pelsoi era, are now left leaderless," NRCC spokesman Matt Gorman said. "The only person happier tonight than Nancy Pelosi is the NRCC."

Pelosi, for her part, described Crowley as "an unwavering champion for America’s working families for almost two decades" who "brought principled, unifying and forward-looking leadership to the historic challenges of the Trump Administration" as the Democratic caucus chair.

"I salute Chairman Crowley for a formidable legacy of achievement for the people of New York," Pelosi concluded. "I congratulate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on her victory."

Fox News' Paul Steinhauser and the Associated Press contributed to this report.

She is more or less guaranteed to win the seat.  Her district is in New York City, which is overwhelmingly a democrat stronghold.  That's the problem with New York State.  In the last gubernatorial election all of upstate New York voted overwhelming for the republican candidate.  But because of the number of democrats voting in NYC, they swept the election for Cuomo.  Candidates for statewide offices only need to campaign in NYC, because that's where the votes are, though most candidates will campaign in upstate New York, as a formality.  This pattern concerns me because it applies to other States too, when major urban area progressive politicians control an entire State, then the rest of the State has to bend under the regulations that might be fitting for an urban area, but have no application to rural areas.   I see that as the basis for civil war.

You are exactly right. When States get that lopsided, they should be forced to split off as another separate State. Long Island, Staten Island and NYC and all its Burroughs would still be bigger than Rhode Island. But that's just wishful thinking on my part. That'll never happen.

Rasmussen Poll said 31% fear a civil war is near.

http://www.shtfplan.com/emergency-preparedness/rasmussen-poll-31-of-votersthink-civil-war-is-likely-soon_06272018

Quote

According to a new Rasmussen poll, 31% of likely voters believe that a Civil War is coming soon. And most voters fear that the political violence is coming from opponents of the president’s policies.

This isn’t in contrast to the views during Barack Obama’s second term, which was that again, opponents of the sitting president’s policies were feared to be the violent ones.

Thirty-one percent (31%) of Likely U.S. Voters say it’s likely that the United States will experience a second civil war sometime in the next five years, with 11% who say it’s Very Likely. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 59% consider a second civil war unlikely, but that includes only 29% who say it’s Not At All Likely. (To see survey question wording, click here.) –Rasmussen Reports

Thirty-seven percent of Democrats are fearful that a second civil war is at hand, while only 32% of Republicans and 26% of voters not affiliated with either major party feel as scared of another civil war. 59% of all voters are concerned that those opposed to President Trump’s policies will resort to violence.  33% of voters are Very Concerned. This compares to 53% and 28% respectively in the spring of Obama’s second year in office. Thirty-seven percent don’t share that concern, including 16% who are Not At All Concerned.

Coupled with politicians making comments that elude to the belief that another civil war is imminent, and fascist groups like Antifa who have openly called for violence against those with whom they disagree, history’s future does appear rather bleak.

The video below will give several examples of liberal business owners denying services to conservatives or Trump supporters. It also contains some cursing, however, it is all censored.

Most voters across the partisan spectrum (from left to right) are concerned about political violence from those opposed to Trump’s policies, although Republicans are the most likely to be Very Concerned. The level of concern is about the same among Republicans, Democrats and unaffiliated voters when it comes to the threat of violence from those critical of the media’s coverage of Trump.  Women and those under 40 are more worried about a possible civil war than men and older voters are.

@ Jackalope, I certainly hope Cortez isn't a sure-win.

Mmmmm, Trump employees being encouraged to apply for CCW's. Well I hope they get some training so they don't shoot when they shouldn't. If they executed on shooting a protester, justified or not, all hell will break loose.
