I also don't mean to be hypocritical. I just recently posted about a good conversation I had with an anarchist. we found some common ground and that was cool, but he's smarter than the average bear, and I like to think I am too. the majority of society is as dumb as a fucking rock and the media plays them like a fiddle. nothing we do socially or politically is going to change anything.

I think that may be beneficial.  A few guys running security in full load outs may prove to be an example, and might help them push some of that "peaceful" bull shit off to the side, and start showing "them" that they mean business. Instead of standing by while their fellow americans get the hell beat out of them while they grab their video cameras and shout, "Shame Shame Shame..."

Think that Occupy in general could use more then a few good ex-military men/women to help with security and tactics. There are proper ways to do security at such events and protect the protestors from outside forces attempting squelch their legal right to do so. Once you give those forces any justification for ratcheting up their hostility, then you have failed in your duty to protect the protest. There is a fine line in all this to be sure.

I Hope you don't mind Gapatriot, I edited your quote slightly. I support their 1 Amendment right to protest as long as it is peaceful.

Not necessarily. There are ways to own semi-autos and other firearms including shotguns, you just have to be very official and go through a bit of paper work.

That being said, I've been reading through some of these cook county gun laws and holy crap did it get me mad.
