Heard this song on the radio a few weeks ago, and I just couldn't help but think of our current struggle, and this pretty much matches my feelings perfectly.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=liW-kWFiXtQ&ob=av2n

Sick Puppies - You're Going Down

Got me really pumped and psyched, plus the bassist girl in the video is super HAWT!  I love it!

Badass song, and to be honest, though, they totally pussed out on the video.  A water gun fight?  Really?  Lame.   ::)

Here are the lyrics!

Quote
Define your meaning of war
To me it's what we do when we're bored
I feel the heat comin' off of the blacktop
And it makes me want it more
Because I'm hyped up out of control
If it's a fight, I'm ready to go
I wouldn't put my money on the other guy
If you know what I know that I know

It's been a long time coming
And the table's turned around
'Cause one of us is going
One of us is going down
I'm not running,
It's a little different now
'Cause one of us is going
One of us is going down

Define your meaning of fun
Is it fuckin', druggin' or guns
I feel the heat comin' off of the blacktop
So get ready for another one
Let's take a trip down memory lane
(Do you remember me?)
The words circling in my brain
(And what you did to me)
You can treat this like another all the same
But don't cry like a bitch when you feel the pain!!!!

It's been a long time coming
And the table's turned around
'Cause one of us is going
One of us is going down
I'm not running,
It's a little different now
'Cause one of us is going
One of us is going down

This is hardly worth fighting for
But it's the little petty shit that I can't ignore
When my fist hits your face and your face hits the floor

It'll be a long time coming
Bet you got the message now
'Cause I was never going
Yeah, you're the one that's going down

One of us is going down
I'm not running,
It's a little different now
'Cause one of us is going
One of us is going down

One of us is going down

The words are interesting... i use to love Blink when i was younger... they kind of suck now though...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MEUgBxbMjXs (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MEUgBxbMjXs)

Coming in, coming in, kill the radio silence
 Break down in L.A.
Giving up, giving in to a feeling of violence
 There?s hell to pay
So let?s light another match, stop living in the past
Where nobody can hear me now
Blow the lock off the cage, watch the children come of age
When their parents stop to take a bow

Nothing takes root in this barren soil
Nothing takes root in this barren soil
Maybe there?s no one there at all

Hold on, the worst is yet to come
Save your money for hired guns
Hold strong when everything you loved is gone
Slow down and stop living in the shadow of a helicopter

Line ?em up on the wall, coming out with their hands up
 Give ?em all the chair

Let it burn, let it fall, let the end of the world come
 Who?s left to care?

Nothing takes root in this barren soil
Nothing takes root, though they bend and toil
Maybe there?s no one there at all

Hold on, the worst is yet to come
Save your money for hired guns
Hold strong when everything you loved is gone
Slow down and stop living in the shadow of a helicopter

Hold on, the worst is yet to come
Save your money for hired guns
Hold strong when everything you loved is gone
Slow down and stop living in the shadow of a helicopter

You micro labeling elitists are such a pain in the ass. When I was a younger chap going to shows you little snobs annoyed the shit out of me and the guys. I know my music history, especially when it comes to metal; I've also played in my fair share of bands. So don't lecture ME on what's metal and what's not boyo. If it's good, listen to it; it's that simple. Metal, death metal, thrash, grindcore, hardcore, deathcore; ALL valid sub labeling systems and metal sub-genres for your OCD needs.  GET OVER IT, it's just music.

YOUR SINGER SOUNDS LIKE A WOUNDED DUCK, WHY?!

I found I can get them to play only if I right click, then click "Watch on YouTube."   Maybe it has something to do with MacOS but I've never had that happen before with embedded YT videos.

I never was much of a metal head. I can tolerate it but it's just not my bag. I'm sure I'll get flamed for this one but here's some of the lesser known underground stuff I've been into for a few years now:

The Thermals - A stare like yours (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V2qgmRkjXPc#)

The Thermals - A pillar of salt lyrics (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lSjdQG6fec0#)

Stretch Armstrong - Means to an end, Dreams away, Postive Aspects of Negativity (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bnFy7fV2Dr8#ws)

themselves - "poison pit" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KMwGsX0Y2nI#) (skip to 0:40 for the actual song)

Aesop Rock - Coffee (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KvAJ_s_C1Mw#)

I'm not trying to start any shit or put down anyone's tastes.  I know ya'll would twinge at the stuff I listen to.   I'm just an older guy who would like to know, "How do you young guys manage to think or process information when that stuff is playing?"  It sends me reeling.

HAHAHA!!! definitely one of the top ten comments ever made on this site... I don't know man. I don't like any one particular genre over another, only individual artists and/or bands that I think are talented.

I'll listen to everything from Leadbelly, Hank and Hank III (fuck Hank Jr.), Johnny Cash, Woody Guthrie, to Bob Dylan, Elton John, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, right on into lots of punk rock that I won't bother naming because I doubt anyone here besides maybe ThatGuy would know what I'm talking about, to A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Charizma, (old hip-hop)...

anything and everything. I think it's all got a bit to offer, and also a bit left open for criticism. that being said, I don't think there's been anything on the radio worth listening to in over 15 years. and a very select few things on the radio worth listening to for 15 years before that. but there's plenty of lesser known artists that will rock your world. even today.

Thanks man, glad you like them.  They are huge now, but believe it or not, I used to go to their shows years ago when they were nobodies, and we used to hang out and get drunk as fuck with them and do crazy shit after the shows.  I bought Scott and Seth more drinks than I could count, Bob, the bass player doesn't drink, though.  I'm talking about these three guys playing in a bar with maybe 10 people there.  It was kick ass man.  Now they are huge, and you cannot even speak to them after their shows.  Kinda freaking sucks, but there music is that awesome, and they are really great guys, and they deserve the success that all their hard work has given them.

After the conference call tonight, this one is dedicated to Nola......

Clutch - Binge & Purge (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pmVbCXGLkFQ#)

Perhaps, it's just the way the light falls But everything looks like a target to me And I don't know where the gun is But I'm certain that it's pointed at me
And in the jungle, wretched jungle They say the lion eats tonight And all around it is a collesium   Dripping with a voracious appetite
I say hey there, fella Whose soul are you tormenting now? Hey, there fella Whose soul are you tormenting now? Hey, there fella Whose soul are you tormenting now?
In the course of all the previous events It is evident that something's bound to happen Come on, rear your ugly head to me I've got nothing to lose but my apathy
The root of the problem has been isolated The root of the problem has been isolated The root of the problem has been isolated The root of the problem has been isolated
Come on motherfucker, come on motherfucker Come on motherfucker, let's throw down Come on motherfucker, come on motherfucker Come on motherfucker, let's throw down
Just try me, just try me What are you waiting for? Come on, motherfucker Let's throw down
Come on, motherfucker, let's go Just rear your ugly fuckin' head I'll put it on a platter Just rear your ugly fuckin' head I'll put it on a platter
So, come on motherfucker, come on motherfucker Come on motherfucker, let's throw down Come on motherfucker, come on motherfucker Come on motherfucker, let's go Hey there, hey fella, hey there, hey fella
Come on motherfucker, come on motherfucker Come on motherfucker, let's throw down Come on motherfucker, come on motherfucker Come on motherfucker, let's go
I'll make you wish that you'd never been born I'll make you wish that you'd never been born I'll make you wish that you'd never been born Come on, motherfucker, let's go Hey there, hey fella, hey there, hey fella
