Title: The Cowboy Junkies
Post by: JohnyMac on November 06, 2017, 10:19:31 AM
MrsMac and I drove 130 miles one way to see a concert put on by The Cowboy Junkies.

Now we have seen The Cowboy Junkies a bunch of times but in rather large cities. Boston, New York City, Los Angeles, etc so when they came to a small town 2 1/2 hrs from our rather rural AO we jumped at the chance to see them probably for the last time in our lives.

I am writing this because if you ever get a chance to see them, DO IT!

The music is diverse with a leaning towards country & western, blues along with some Rock n' roll influences thrown in.

Here is a cut from a 2012 concert. The song is called, "Misguided Angel".

Margo Timmins is the main vocalist for the group and has a great range.

The final song that the group did last night was an OUTSTANDING rendition of David Bowie's Five Years.

Although not from last night but from another night/concert. Enjoy...

Natalie Merchant, 10,000 Maniacs?  Wife sure thinks so.

Some of their Youtube has my interest.  I will be watching out for them.

Send them to Va and you can come stay with us a day or so.  Wife and I will go to the concert with you.

You saw them at Sellersville huh?
