Nice link read it from beginning to end.
I have always viewed "The heat" scene as a bit of a training film.

In case no one knows, stopping the copying at the first question mark shortens the link substantially and does not bring a great amount of tag along linkage, info stripping and all that bad stuff with the link.

See below and compare to the link listed above, and click both.

The only bad thing I noticed in that Heat shootout is there were only 2 reloads or magazine changes by anyone onscreen over the entire shooting part.

But it was generally more accurate than most others.  Just seems like dayum few criminals, cowboys, cops,  indians, or crooks have any accuracy at all.

In Heat I counted five reloads. Still using full auto even with controlled bursts it should have been more.

I watched 'The Accountant' recently - there is one scene where they got the bullet noise and then the pop from the muzzle timing right - made me break out in a cold sweat - took me a minute to figure out why.
-
my favorite are the old WWII propaganda movies - the guy with the full auto shot firing from a single magazine that lasts for 1 full minute.
