The Survival Group by Alton Gabriel gives an outline of how to operate/participate in a survival group. The book is very basic. Supposedly, it provides all the knowledge needed to start a group. I found the book to be severely lacking in details. I suppose it's better than nothing, but not much more. It covers basic tactics, and the author does an okay job, but you would be better off getting this sort of information from a U.S. military technical manual. The author describes different hand and arm signals, but the illustrations for the signals are published a few pages later, so you have to jump between the written descriptions and the illustrations.
The section on communications is woefully inadequate. The author mentions the 3-3-3 radio plan and PACE, but doesn't go into enough detail. He glosses over the use of HF radio.
The above is just some of the ways that the book shows its inadequacies. I wouldn't consider the book to be a blueprint, but rather a very rough outline. There are many spelling and grammar errors, and the book is in need of a good editor. The book has potential, but it's in need of both a revision and an edit. I give the book 2 out of 5 stars.

Sounds like a money grab to me. Probably looks awesome to someone who is reading a preparedness book for the first time ever but not much past that.
