This is an excerpted part from a book by Carleen Madigan called, "The Backyard Homestead: Produce all the food you need on just a quarter acre!"

Based on the excerpts, thought it was a good basic guide to really optimizing your available space to producing food and cultivating food sources. Definitely on my list to get.

I have that book - it's really good. There are several layouts like that in the book with different levels of what you have - just veggies or veggies and bees and fruit trees, etc.
