... it is called "A Failure of Civiliy" by Mike Garand & Jack Lawsin.
If anybody has that book and is willing to loan it out I would love to borrow it.
If their are forum members who would like to read the book but don't want to dish out the $75- for it maybe we could go in on it together. Two people, $40- each, three, $25- each, etc. You get the idea.

This help? Or contact your local library. A nickel says they could get a copy.
Try both below. If the PDF isn't it, there are a fair number of other options on the google search below.

There are some available on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/A-Failure-of-Civility-/253084059122?_trksid=p2349526.m2548.l4275 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/A-Failure-of-Civility-/253084059122?_trksid=p2349526.m2548.l4275) I consider it to be one of my indispensable books, along with Beyond Collapse by Miller. There's another one along the same lines, but I don't recall the title, and I can't find it in my library.

I thought that PDF was all of the book. I was in error. But we all have the first 80 or so pages. Enough to evaluate if nothing better.

Thx Jackalope for your suggestions.
Is the book worth $50-?
Kbop, I would rather have a hard book rather than a PDF. Some books I don't care but some I really like having a book to high-light or dog ear pages. This one is one of those.

I bought the book several years ago, and if I remember correctly, I paid around $40. I'd say that it is probably worth $50+. It's among a pile of books that I'd take with me if I ever had to bug out. I believe that I originally bought it based upon Matt Bracken's review.

The other book that I couldn't remember the title is "When Technology Fails" by Matthew Stein. The engineer author details how to maintain a simple level of technology. I have literally thousands of books on a wide variety of subjects. However, the books that I would count on are mostly homesteading books, since in the long term, food is going to be a priority.
