Title: Conflicted: The Game
Post by: rah45 on July 25, 2014, 09:52:09 AM
This isn't a book, but it is educational. Conflicted: The Game (http://conflictedthegame.com/) is a card game that you play with 3-12 people. You are given a deck of cards (52?), each one with a different scenario. These scenarios are difficult and controversial, and the point of the game is for players to explain how they would handle the situation. Points are awarded based on how many players agree with you, but that isn't really the main feature. You get to hear what your family, friends, coworkers, "MAG" members, etc. would do in these situations. Who is peaceful? Who just wants to shoot people because it's easier? Answer a lot of questions in a neutral way, and see how the people you might rely on REALLY think when pressured.

I'm planning on purchasing the game. It is available now in a physical card deck format and also available as an app via the IPhone.  Soon, a developer told me in an email, it will be available as an app for Android users.

Seems like a great training tool and an eye opener...for a great many reasons. Introduce it to others around you as this fun post-apocalyptic game. Get to know your friends for who they really are.

Excited yet? I sure as hell am.
