I was going through my bookmarks and came back across Unchained. I took a look at my profile and see that I registered almost three years ago, but never posted.
Central Valley California, 70 years. I will make an effort to participate instead of lurk or forget to come by.

California Rifle and Pistol Association https://www.crpa.org/ (https://www.crpa.org/) is a wonderful place to keep abreast of California gun laws. I am a Senior Veteran Life Member.
NRA bulletins from one of their magazines and the West Coast report is another place.
In general the state is run by the residents along a 50 mile (from the Pacific inward) swath from north of San Francisco (Marin County), and south along the Pacific to San Diego. The rest of us currently do not have much of a voice. But we must remember that the only constant in life is "change."
I live in farm country. I have lived here all my life, except for a time when I belonged to Uncle Sam, and picked peaches along side my Dad from 5 years old to 15. This was back when the Oakies were the farm laborers left over from the dust bowl migration.
So I will endeavor to keep you apprised of what intel comes my way. CRPA is keeping up the good fight. If you are in California and do not yet belong, it is a good place to be.

I have lived in California twice once in the mid '70's and again from '87-92. During my time in 1974 I lived in Culver City about 5 miles from Marina del Rey. Anyway, there was never an issue with firearms back then at all.
While there in '87-92 I was the Store Manager for a company in the marina called West Marine. We had a break in at O'dark thirty. The security company called me as protocol, so I got dressed strapped on my Browning Hi Power and drop to the two or so miles to the store. Once there I was met by a few Marina Chips guys. They asked me to go into the store through the broken door and turn on the lights.
I told them that I had a handgun with me and they just shrugged and said, after you turn the lights on we will come in and please don't shoot us. That was it! LOL.
Based on what we hear from the other side of the wire it is a living hell for honest gun owners who live in CA. now. Not only that, I am hearing that LA and San Fran is like the Night of the Living Dead with all of the homeless and illegals.
